Reducing the ADHD Tax with Tech

Updated: Mar 4, 2021

Did you know that over 11 million people in the USA have Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder?

The American Psychiatric Association describes key symptoms of ADHD as inattention (not being able to keep focus), hyperactivity (excess movement that is not fitting to the setting) and impulsivity (hasty acts that occur in the moment without thought).

There are many contributing factors that can play a role in these behavioural challenges including genetics.

Last Wednesday, Dwellingright went LIVE with ADDA (Attention Deficit Disorder Association) to explore how people who are struggling to cope with the growing responsibilities of life, can leverage tech to get things done more easily!

In the webinar, we talked about big consequence tasks we don’t always actually get done.

We then explored what gets in the way, and how we can use technology to help us.

What We Learned

  • The hidden steps that prevent us from accomplishing critical tasks (with high cost consequences)

  • Tracking documents and when-what-happened for boring adulting tasks

  • Sharing tasks and information with domestic partners

  • Learning to prioritize actionable critical tasks and let go of to-dos that aren’t realistic for now

If you're interested in watching the replay of the webinar, you can find it here.
